Your Safari, Day by Day

Day 1: Arrival at JRO & Private Arusha Welcome

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our logistics team provides a private, direct transfer to your comfortable lodge in Arusha town. Use this time to relax and recover from travel. Your expert safari guide will conduct a personalized briefing, outlining the highly flexible schedule for the days ahead and answering any last-minute questions.

After an early breakfast, we begin the drive to Tarangire National Park. Expect a full day of game driving in your private 4×4 Safari Jeep. Your guide will focus on the quieter trails and the riverbeds, famous for massive elephant herds and superb birdlife. In the late afternoon, we provide a smooth private transfer to a comfortable lodge in Karatu, positioning you perfectly for tomorrow.

Following breakfast, we depart Karatu, traversing the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to the mighty Serengeti National Park. This entire journey is a flexible game drive in itself! We arrive at your selected tented camp or luxury safari lodge in time for an afternoon game drive. Witnessing the sun set over the iconic Serengeti plains confirms your adventure has begun.

Today is all about maximized wildlife viewing. We rise early for dawn game drives when predators are most active, utilizing our private vehicle freedom to track the best action. Your schedule is fully flexible. With luck, you may spot most of the Big Five and witness the spectacular seasonal migration (depending on the month you are there).

Start before sunrise for one last game drive, the Serengeti at its most atmospheric. After breakfast, we begin the scenic drive back toward Arusha, stopping along the way to soak in the views. An evening in Arusha gives you time for a final dinner and reflection on all the incredible wildlife encounters of your safari.

Relax over breakfast. We provide a final private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight. Alternatively, we facilitate a seamless local transfer to Arusha Airport (ARK) for your pre-arranged flight extension to Zanzibar’s beaches. Though the safari ends, the Tanzania safari story follows you home.
